Many people are wary of hypnosis, and for good reason since most of what is shown in movies and television is meant to entertain and is not true depiction of a real hypnosis session. Stage hypnosis is entertainment, not healing, stress-reducing enjoyable hypnosis. I have used hypnosis for helping people since shortly after I was Certified in 1996. Every man and woman I’ve worked with has commented how relaxing it is and almost all have felt they benefitted greatly from the hypnosis.
Over the years my use of hypnosis sessions have grown to what I call Non-Hypnosis Hypnosis. How is this different from a normal hypnosis session? A number of ways. I use techniques that put and keep clients at ease, relaxed and extremely effective for the issue they want to improve or heal. Along with 1996 Hypnosis Certification, Clayton Lee CHt, LCDC, is also trained in Medical Hypnosis, Autogenic Training Hypnosis, and other. Clients can learn Autogenic Training to use on their own as a way to relax, release stress, and help with meditation. Autogenic Training has been the subject of more than 60 clinical studies dating back to 1980. In 2002, a meta-analysis of 60 studies was published in Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback,[5] finding significant positive effects of treatment … and finding positive additional effects by patients, including their perceived quality of life.
