Many of our clients have been court directed by a judge or probation officer to enter treatment for their alcohol or drug use offenses. Lawyers for Clients, and Clients independently who are awaiting sentencing have also found it helpful for them to take action on their own and seek treatment – before their upcoming court date, in order to show the judge how they have been working their problem. These clients legal issues include D.U.I. (Driving Under the Influence), D.W.I. (Driving While Intoxicated), P.I. (Public Intoxication) and other substance use or substance use arrest problems.
Often clients must choose to either enter an I.O.P. (Intensive Outpatient) or E.I.O.P. (Evening Intensive Outpatient) Program, or S.O.P. (Supportive Outpatient) Unfortunately these programs are both expensive – often $1200.00 per week or more, are inconvenient and time consuming – 3 to 4 day time sessions each week (I.O.P.), or 3 to 4 nighttime sessions per week from 6:00 PM untill 9:00 PM. Length of this treatment can range from 4 – 6 weeks and longer. These are group sessions, from which the patient or client has limited time to share and interact with the counselor, usually receives only one 45-50 minute session with their counselor each week.
Most times in these legal situations, clients are given the option of Private Treatment Counseling, which Clayton Lee Counseling provides. Clayton Lee, CHt, LCDC is a State of Texas Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and has extensive experience running and designing Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment Programs in treatment centers as a Case Manager, Counselor, Lead Counselor, and Clinical Program Director.
In this Confidential Private Treatment Setting you will receive the great benefit of Individual One on One Treatment with Clayton, who is also Certified in a number of key areas for persons in treatment for alcohol or drug problems.
In legal situations such as these two sessions per week is fairly standard, sometimes only one/week. Each session is 60 – 120 minutes. You will receive accelerated and more effective personal treatment than is possible in group I.O.P., E.I.O.P., or S.O.P.
If you are required to have random, weekly or more often U.D.S. (Urine Drug Screens), that can also be provided.
Clayton Lee Counseling offers clients a positive, uplifting experience in completing these requirements. During these sessions, many of our clients also work on and resolve one or more important personal issues that have previously held them back, may be a reason for their alcohol or drug abuse, and trigger continued use and relapse. If these often critical problems, traumas, grief, abandonment, anger, etc., are not worked, resolved and healed – they often are a cause of relapse, which may bring unwanted additional legal problems.
We look forward to working with you to satisfy your legal counseling requirements and in other ways helpful for you, your family and your future. God bless you today and always.
